The tour is 2 hours and 45 minutes long. Photographer's Tours are slightly longer.
It is a 40 to 45 minute steam out to the islands, each way.
No, whales are not commonly sighted during our tours. This is not their feeding area. We recommend taking a whale watching tour if you wish to see whales.
Yes, our boat is equipped with a small washroom, toilet, (head).
Yes, we guarantee you will see puffins on all of our tours from early May until late Aug.
Less than 1% get sick. We do have motion sickness bands available on board. We do not offer or sell sea sickness medication on-site.
No, there are no trespassing laws on both islands. In addition, most of the interesting birds nest on the cliff face which you can not see from above. Instead, we stay on the boat and closely circle the islands, giving you the best viewing position.
No, binoculars are not required to see the birds, including puffins, but they are recommended. We do have several pairs to rent in the office.
Yes, all ages. We have life jackets to fit all sizes.
No, we donโ€™t sell anything onboard. We don't sell food or water in the office either. We can fill up any water bottles free of charge in the office.
Yes, you are free to bring any food and drink you want. Note, the tour is just under 3 hours long, a bottle of water is recommended.
No, due to members of our crew having severe allergies, we do not allow pets on board. Two dog kennels are available nearby, less than 15 minutes away, Black Rock Stables, Kennels & Cattery, 902-574-3535, and Aldergold Kennels or phone them at 902-736-2996
